No accounts

utyping has no sign-up and no login. We do not ask for your name, email or any other personal details.

Your scores stay in your browser

Test results, your local leaderboard, lesson progress, key statistics, the nickname you choose and your settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are never sent to our servers. You can export them, restore them or delete them at any time on the Progress page. Clearing your browser's site data also deletes them.

Fonts

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.

Advertising

utyping is free and will be funded by advertising. Ads never appear while you are typing. When an ad network is added, this page will name it, and any advertising or measurement cookies will be used only after you agree to them in a consent banner.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too.
